The information exhibition in the PAHLHUUS
Will remain closed in 2024
The PAHLHUUS is the information center of the UNESCO Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve and at the same time the headquarters of the Schaalsee-Elbe Biosphere Reserve Office. At the beginning of the season, the PAHLHUUS usually opens the doors to its exhibition. But this year the information exhibition will remain closed. Residents and visitors to the UNESCO Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve can still obtain information.
From April to October the pavilion is under the solar pyramid behind the PAHLHUUS
open from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
You can get information there, buy hiking maps and small items from the region, rent bicycles and drink a coffee. The reasons for the one-year closure are extensive renovation work on the building as well as the modernization and revision of the exhibition. The administration building is still open as usual.
How to find us
The information centre is located in Zarrentin am Schaalsee, easy to reach via the A 24 (exit Zarrentin), the B 195 and the L 04. In the town, please follow the PAHLHUUS signs. There are plenty of parking spaces available for a fee.
