„The approximately 4 km long loop trail around the Kirchensee is one of my favourite hiking trails. From this path you can look at two lakes at once, the Schaalsee and the Kirchensee. It leads through an old alley, through a moor and along the shores of both lakes. In spring, the many snowdrops along the path are something very special, in summer the variety of different bird songs and in winter the numerous winter guests that can be observed on the sheltered Kirchensee. The best place to start is from the car park at the monastery in Zarrentin.“
